Our first week of summer camp was an absolute blast. This week we focused on our ‘Fun and Fitness’ theme. Our campers learned about different sports, how to eat healthy, and even had a visit from a few special guests. Over the four days we learned how to play basketball, soccer, tennis and kickball. A dietitian came in to talk about food groups and make us some yummy energy bars. We even had a special visit from a personal trainer, a Zumba instructor, and members from the Lake Michigan College basketball team. Over the four days we made seven different sports crafts, some of which included solo cup basketball hoops, paper plate tennis racquets, and mini sports flags. Our staff is looking forward to a great summer with such an energetic and fun group! Check out a few photos from the week below.
