Grant committee would like to thank supporters of Hannah & Friends Third Annual Motorcycle Run

The third annual motorcycle run for Hannah & Friends took place on July 19th at Time Out Bar and Grille. The Northern RI scenic run took off and returned to Time Out. The ride for Awareness & Compassion is to help local special needs children and young adults receive grants from Hannah’s Helping Hands program. Grant recipients may use the funds for life enrichment purchases.

Thanks go out to Bryan and Bob Feather, organizers of “Circle of Friends,” a group of motorcycle riders who coordinate rides to help non-profit organizations. Bryan and Bob Feather coordinated the run along with member participants Rene Bisson, Jack Cruize and Dave Russo. Thanks to all the riders who participated this year. They came from all over RI and Massachusetts. We couldn’t do it without you. Ride safe! Thanks to the Cumberland Police department and their cooperation. Thanks to all police support from neighboring towns on route for insuring a safe ride.

A big thanks to Pete Mercier, his dad Norman and sister Michelle from Time-Out Bar & Grille who once again supported our efforts and made the day a success, Harry Feather, the cook at Time-Out for volunteering his time along with Terry Marshall, Jim McLaughlin and Stanley at the grill. We had some great food for the participants and coffee and donuts in the morning donated by Gary at Honey Dew donuts on Diamond Hill Road in Cumberland.

Thanks to Mike Coletta and company who once again provided live entertainment for the afternoon. Their performance of live music and songs added so much to the enjoyment of the day. Also helping behind the scenes were Robin and Debby Feather, Denise Zollo, Roger Jalette and Joe Simao. All our kids who helped out that day; Nicole Hewey, Jennifer Ring, Katie and Allison Feather, Heather Hall, Samantha Simao, Sienna Viette, and Ally Wolfe. Thanks go out to massage therapist Andraly Horn for providing us with much needed massages and tension release. His service was greatly appreciated.

RI families have already received $33,000.00 of grant money this year. Thanks to Hannah Weis, for whose inspiration this foundation was built on, to be able to be help these families. We all love Hannah and are glad to know she is doing so well in Indiana. Thanks to the children who attended the days event; Tara, James and Ginger who reminded us what we were all there for in the first place. It’s all about the kids.
